Design and web development for the artist Alejandro Vizcarro, who paints objects, landscapes and portraits on canvas with brush and colour palette. The website needed to disappear behind his work, letting each painting explain itself.
A digital canvas as quiet as the painter's studio.
Color e identidad.
A white background with paper texture and pure black typography, with no colour beyond that of the works themselves. A neutral canvas that leaves absolute centre stage to Vizcarro's painting.
The logotype recovers the artist's own handwritten signature, with a loose, brushstroke-like line that speaks to authorship and the craft behind each work. Minimal navigation (Home, Works, Contact) keeps the focus on the painting gallery.
The signature as brand
Instead of a conventional logotype, I used the painter's own handwritten signature as identity, with a brushstroke-like line that reinforces the craftsmanship behind every work.
The gallery as the central axis
I structured the works section as a clean gallery, with a page for each painting designed so visitors browse the catalogue without visual distractions.
Alejandro Vizcarro now has a website as discreet as his own studio, where white space and handwritten typography let his landscapes and portraits be the true protagonists.
