Redrum is a cocktail bar with a terrace located on the square known as La Urbana (José Sellier Loup square) in A Coruña. It offers cocktails, drinks and a small food menu in a venue with an intimate atmosphere. I developed the branding and graphic design for the project, starting from a name any fan of The Shining recognises instantly.
When the name of a horror classic becomes the perfect excuse for a night of cocktails.
Color e identidad.
A dark, immersive palette, designed for a venue known for its play of lights. The deep tones let the colour accents that light up the terrace take centre stage, reinforcing the cinematic nod in the name.
The brand design was built around the direct reference to The Shining, aiming for the name alone to spark curiosity and complicity. The identity matches the venue's original, charming character, in keeping with its careful decor and intimate atmosphere.
A nod to cinema inside the cocktail bar
The starting point was the venue's own name, a direct reference to The Shining. From there I built a graphic system that carries that reference into the world of cocktails without losing the venue's own character.
Graphic design for a charming atmosphere
The venue stands out for its original decor and striking play of lights, so the graphic design was conceived to work within that setting: signage, wayfinding and materials that accompany the experience inside and out on the terrace.
Redrum now has an identity that sums up the venue's spirit in a single name: cocktails, terrace and an intimate atmosphere with a direct nod to horror cinema. The design carries that personality across every touchpoint, from signage to decor.
